The translation of Òran Mór from Scottish Gaelic is the "great melody of life" or "big song"). The building dominates the junction of Byres Road and Great Western Road and is a theatre, restaurant, wedding, events and music venue in Glasgow. The building was originally known as the Kelvinside Parish Church (Botanic Gardens), running from 1862 until 1978, before becoming redundant and being converted into an entertainment venue in the mid noughties.
