In 1990 The Cathouse opened as a Rock Club in a small venue in Glasgow before a huge surge in popularity saw it relocate to its current home on Union Street in the City Centre. 'The Catty' as it's affectionately known, is an alternative music venue and continues to play host to a wide range of bands and musicians alongside its club nights.
In the nineties, when electronic dance music and rave culture was ruling the roost on the club scene in Glasgow, The Cathouse offered the ultimate alternative to Glaswegians and is now a stalwart of the city's nightclub circuit.
