While the buildings that house SWG3 play host to a wide range of art and music events, they really come alive at night when the venue, formed of an old Galvanisers Yard, warehouses and arches, opens up as an atmospheric independent entertainment spot for Glasgow clubbers. The former industrial hub occupies its own little slice of Glasgow's Yorkhill, surrounded by a raised railway track and a myriad of old and new buildings.
The walk along to join the queue, past railway arches and the graffiti created in SWG3's annual Yardworks Festival, as you move away from residential properties towards a mix of industrial warehousing helps to build the anticipation of the night ahead. I felt it was important to capture that night-time feeling for this drawing!
These hand drawings, by Turadh Design Co, depict a selection of nightclubs, past and present. What better way to get record a special memory than with a drawing of the location itself!
The prints are hand-drawn and digitally rendered. Framed artworks and loose artwork prints can make a great addition to your home or make fantastic gifts for the special people in your life.
