The O2 Brixton Academy in South London has been a music and events venue since 1983. Previously the venue housed a discotheque in the 1970's and prior to that, a cinema from its opening in 1929. In 1995 an extensive refurbishment saw the art deco frontage restored to its original grandeur. It's one of the biggest non-arena music venues in London
